Return & Refund Policy

Transparent and fair policies for your peace of mind

1. Introduction

This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to subscriptions to our AI-based legal-tech platform (“Service”). It explains when refunds or credits may be issued, how they are requested, and the effect on your access to the Service.

2. Scope & Definitions

  • “Subscription” means your paid plan (monthly or annual) granting access to the Service.
  • “Effective Date” is the date when payment is confirmed and the subscription activates.
  • “Refund” means returning money already paid. “Credit” means applying value toward future subscriptions.
  • This Policy applies globally, but local consumer-protection rights (if stronger) may override parts of it.

3. Free Trial, Cancellation, and Refund Eligibility

3.1 Free Trial

If you enroll in a free trial (if offered), you may cancel at any time before the trial ends and you will not be billed. Upon billing, the refund rules below apply.

3.2 Monthly Plans

  • You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Cancellation will prevent future billing; your access continues until the end of the current paid month.
  • Refunds for a monthly plan are only granted if you make a request within a defined “Refund Window” (see 4.1) and meet the eligibility criteria in Section 4.

3.3 Annual Plans

  • Annual subscriptions are billed in full upfront for 12 months.
  • If you cancel the annual plan, you will continue to have access until the end of the current paid year unless a refund or credit is issued.
  • Refunds or credits for unused time may be offered in accordance with Section 4.

4. Refund / Credit Conditions

4.1 Refund Window

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of your Effective Date to be eligible for a full refund.
  • After the Refund Window, only partial refunds or credits may be issued, or none at all, depending on usage and plan.

4.2 Eligibility Criteria

A refund or credit may be granted if one or more of the following apply:

  • The Service is materially non-functional and we have been unable to fix it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • You experience billing errors or unauthorized charges.
  • In exceptional cases, at our discretion (e.g., major plan change or removal of core feature).

Refunds will not be granted for:

  • Change of mind after the Refund Window.
  • Usage of the Service for the majority of the subscription period (for annual plans) unless there is a valid fault.
  • Access to free trial service already used before payment.

4.3 Annual Plan — Unused Portion Credit

For annual subscriptions paid in advance:

  • If you request cancellation and qualify, we may issue a pro-rated credit for the unused portion of the year, rather than a cash refund.
  • The credit can be used toward a future plan, valid for [e.g., 12 months] from issuance.

4.4 Method & Timing of Refund

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method (or via other method if required).
  • The refund processing time will typically be within 5–14 business days after approval.
  • After refund or credit issuance, your access to the Service will be terminated or adjusted accordingly.

5. How to Request a Refund

  1. Submit a request via email to support@aiattorney.com.pk or via the “Support” section of your account.
  2. Provide: customer name, subscription plan, payment date, reason for request (optional but helpful).
  3. We’ll review your request and inform you of the outcome within [e.g., 7 business days].
  4. If approved, refund or credit will be processed as per Section 4.

6. Effect of Cancellation or Termination

  • If you cancel your subscription, your account will remain active until the end of your current paid term, unless a refund/credit is issued and we terminate access sooner.
  • If we terminate your account for breach of Terms & Conditions (e.g., misuse), no refund or credit will normally be issued unless required by law.

7. Display of Policy & Amendments

  • This Policy is published on our website (footer), accessible from pricing and checkout pages.
  • We may update this Policy from time to time. We will publish the revised version with a “Last Updated” date. For existing subscriptions, we will not apply changes unfairly to periods already purchased.

8. Governing Law & Consumer Rights

  • This Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is incorporated or specifies in our Terms & Conditions.
